2010 Jr. Mini Rules=

ALL D= RIVERS MUST KNOW TRACK RULES!!

DRIVER REQUIREMENTS= : Age minimum 12 yea= rs old. Maximum age level 15 years. If a driver begins a racing season at 15 y= ears and turns 16 years during the season, they will be allowed to finish the se= ason. Drivers must be able to operate all safety equipment and be able to start c= ar, shift gears and complete test for officials. Prior to racing, a mandatory orientation must be attended by driver and parents. Notarized release forms must be completed before being allowed to race.

NOTICE:<= span style=3D'font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Century Gothic"'> All components are subject to inspection and approval of Track Officials. No equipment will be considered as having been approved by reason of having passed through inspection unobserved. IF IT DOESN’T SAY YOU CAN…DON’T!!!=

CHASSIS/BODY: Cars must be 1962 = or newer sedan or truck with four cylinder engine. Front or rear wheel drive. = Stock appearing body as they came from the factory. Must have minimum or three windshield bars in front of driver= . Stock bumpers are OK. No exposed pipe or sharp corners on bumpers. Must maintain stock steel unaltered floor pan. Firewal= l and trunk floor must be retained. No altering for wheel base. All glass and flammable items must be removed from car. Front fender-well may be removed. Front and rear fender may be trimmed for tire clearance. Inner rear fenders= may not be cut out. May have hole in hood for air filter clearance only.

ROLL CAGE: Minimum four (4) p= oint cage with X bracing. Three door bars on driver side and two door bars on passenger’s side minimum. Bars may run from front to rear as you wish= , as long as no bars extend outside of body components. Rub rails shall be no mo= re than 1” x 2” and mya be attached to= the body from fender-well to fender-well and rear quarter panel, flush with bod= y.

SUSPENSION:<= /b> Must remain stock = from factory. No interchanging of leaf and coil springs. No aftermarket suspensi= on parts. Maximum lowering blocks on leaf spring cars or t= rucks in 3”. Front and rear track must remain in stock location. No aftermarket or homemade traction devices. No weight jacks. All shocks and struts must remain in stock location.

STEERING: Stock steering box= must be in original stock location. No center steering. Steering may be quickene= d, quick release steering wheel recommended.

TIRES: Any steel wheel 7&= #8221; wide or less. Tires must be “DOT 70” series or less. No Marsh, American Racer or Hoosier. No beadlock or mudgrips allowed.

REAR-ENDS: Must be OEM rear-e= nd.<= /p>

ENGINES:= Stock four cylinder from manufacturer. Max block size is 2.3 liter on Ford= s, 2.4 liter on foreign & 2.5 liter on GM. No iron Duke engines. Block cannot be bored over 0.060, can be milled. Must u= se stock crankshaft and rods. Head can be milled. Must use stock size v= alve (valve face must be stock diameter). No aluminum heads unless stock from factory. No aftermarket racing heads. Stock stroke on engines. Engine must pull 15” of vacuum at 900 RPM. No altering engine location. May use solid motor mounts. No headers, must run stock exh= aust manifold with exhaust pipe directing spent gasses under car.

TRANSMISSION & = DRIVE LINE:

FUEL: No Nitrous Oxide or alcohol. Gas only, race gas OK. Electric fuel pump allowed. Must have automatic cut off switch for electric fuel pump to kill fuel pump (in = case of roll-over).

Ignition: Stock type ignition only. Ignition switch must be plainly marker “ON/OFF” and in re= ach of driver and safety crew. Master shut-off recommended, will be mandatory f= or 2011.

CARBURETORS:= Can use any 2 (two) barrel carburetor as long as it is no larger than 500cfm. Choke horn must b= e in place. No sideway mounted carburetors. No fuel injection allowed. No turbo chargers.

WEIGHT:<= span style=3D'font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Century Gothic"'> One pound per cubic centimeter of motor displacement.

SAFETY:<= span style=3D'font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Century Gothic"'> Window nets requir= ed. Flame retardant SFI approved fire suit, neck brace, gloves and racing shoes required. SA2000 or newer racing helmet required. Roll bar padding required= in driver compartment, fire retardant padding recommended. Battery must be mounted in leak proof container. Aluminum racing seat with 5-point harness required. Belts no more than 3 years old. Seat must be mounted inside frame rail and ahead of rear tire. Working fire extinguisher must be in reach of driver and secured in place with brackets. Fuel cell required, must be securely strapped down in trunk. Rollover flap recommended, will be required for 2011 season. If fuel lines pass through driver’s compartment, they must be in conduit. All weights must be bo= lted or welded to car and painted white with car number on them. Weights must be bolted with no smaller than ½” bolts.

ENGINE CLAIM RULE:<= /span> Promoter has optio= n of claiming any motor from intake to oil pan for $500 if necessary, to keep mo= tors with in the rules. Refusal of engine claim will result in loss of all points and disqualification of car and driver.
