2010 = PURE STOCK RULES

BODY/FRAME/CHASSIS: Any 1965 or Newer American Made full size passenger car. 108” minim= um wheel base. Uni-bodied cars allowed, must be welded together by no l= ess than 2” x 2” square tubing. Rear end must be sock for make and model, may be locked. NO 9” Ford under Chevy. Gear ratio optional.

ENGINE: Stock for make and model, me= tric cars may run 350s. NO 400s. GM or Ford maximum 362 c.i.= and Dodge 368 c.i. Engine must be in stock location.<= /p>

CARBURATOR: If running closed chamber heads, 2 barrel only. If running open chamber heads, 4 barrel allowed.=

INTAKE: Any stock 2 or 4 barrel inta= ke. Aluminum OK. No aftermarket or Bowties. No stock high performance or high-rise. No porting, polishing, or gasket matching.

HEADS: No porting or polishing. Doub= le humps or Vortecs OK, but must run 2 barrel.

CAMSHAFT: Hydraulic only. Must pull 14” of vacuum at 1200 rpm. Vacuum to be pulled at intake. No Rhodes type lifters.

EXHAUST: Any stock exhaust or header= s OK.

TRANSMISSION: Any stock automatic or standard transmission. Must have scatter shield or shatter proof bell-housi= ng. Single disc clutch with steel pressure plate and stock flywhe= el. No aluminum flywheel. Automatic must have working 11” torque converte= r. No direct drive.

WHEELS/TIRES: 8” steel wheels = only. May run bead lock on right rear only. 1” lug nuts. Radials, asphalt pull-offs (can be grooved) or modified pull-offs.

FUEL: Stock fuel pump. Pump gas or r= ace gas only.

WEIGHT/SAFETY: Minimum 3200 lbs. aft= er race with driver. Added weights must be bolted with ½” minimum= bolts and painted white with car number. All glass, rubber and interior must be removed. No gutting of body parts, except the doors for roll cage clearance= . 4 driver’s door bars and right door bars are mandatory. Aluminum racing seat mandatory. Seat bracket must be mounted to roll cage. “X” brace behind driver in cage. Roll cage padding mandatory in driver compartment. Fuel cell must be mounted inside of trunk and be secure= d by at least two 1” steel straps. Fuel cell roll over flap recommended (w= ill be mandatory for 2011 season). All cars must have full window net. All cars MUST have a fire extinguisher within driver’s reach!!

CARS WITH PASSENGERS: Passenger must= be equipped with aluminum racing seat securely mounted in stock location. Must have roll cage padding in this area, up to date 5 point racing harness & SFI approved FULL racing suit (made of fire retardant material) with helmet= , no partial suits (jacket without pants, vise versa, etc.). Passenger side wind= ow must have full window net. At no time should the passenger in a car be stic= king their arms (or any other limbs) out of the car, you will be warned ONE TIME= if your passenger is seen doing so, second time will result in black flag.

STEERING/SUSPENSION: Stock for make = and model. Driver seat must remain in factory location. Steering box must remai= n in stock location. Quick release OK. Steering quickener OK. No weight jacks, no adjustable shackles on leaf spring cars. Shocks must be in stock location.

RADIATORS: Any (1) radiator in stock location. Water pump mounted fans only. No electric fans. Fan spacers OK.

IGNITION: One 12 volt battery only, = must be securely mounted in rear of driver’s compartment or in trunk area.= One stock distributor in stock location only. Ignition on/off switch must be clearly marked. No traction control devices of any ki= nd. Master shut off recommended for all cars, this will be mandatory for 2011.<= o:p>
