 are the
Official Rules of Sabine Motor Speedway (&#8220;SMS&#8221; used elsewhere in
the rules means &#8220;Sabine Motor Speedway&#8221;). All participants are
subject to all rules and/or regulations. These rules are designed for the
orderly conduct of racing events and to establish minimum requirements for
these events. By participating in the events all participants are deemed to
have agreed to and acknowledge compliance with these rules/regulations. In =
the
event any situation arises which is not covered by these rules, the managem=
ent
of SMS has the sole power to decide same and such decision is final.<o:p></=
o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'><o:p>&nbs=
p;</o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>All parti=
cipants
entering events at SMS further agree that all decisions made during or beca=
use
of an event are final and may not be appealed or litigated and agree to rel=
ease
and hold harmless the event director, his designees, agents, the track
operator, event sponsors, and all other officials and not bring any action
against same for any loss, damage, or injury caused by the decisions, even =
if
the decisions are erroneous, or decisions based on malfunctioning equipment,
whether due to negligence or otherwise.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'><o:p>&nbs=
p;</o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><b style=3D'mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'><u><span

regulations. These are intended as a guide for the conduct of racing events=

are in no way a guarantee against injury or death of a participant, spectat=

official, or any other person or persons participating in, viewing, or work=

<p class=3DMsoNormal><b style=3D'mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'><u><span
style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>GENERAL RULES:<o:p></o:p></span></u>=
</b></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>All parti=
cipants
shall be subject to all rules and regulations of SMS as hereinafter set for=
th,
as well as such rules and regulations as may be added during the season. All
drivers, mechanics, pit crew, family members and friends are subject to the=
se
rules and regulations. All drivers are designated as the responsible parties
for all actions of their mechanics, pit crew, family members and friends.<o=
:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'><o:p>&nbs=
p;</o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>SMS manag=
ement
and officials reserve the right to refuse entrance to any person or persons=
 into
the pit area or the grandstand area.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'><o:p>&nbs=
p;</o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>Anyone en=
tering
the racetrack does so at his/her own risk. Everyone entering the pit gate m=
ust
sign the release form. Everyone entering the pit area must wear a valid pit
pass to be covered by insurance. Parents must sign a minor release form for
children under the age of eighteen, this includes anyone driving a racecar.
This minor release form must be notarized. No one under age of sixteen (16)
will be allowed on the racetrack surface. Anyone not wearing a valid pit pa=
ss
will be removed from the pit area and will be required to purchase a pit pa=
ss
or grandstand pass to reenter.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'><o:p>&nbs=
p;</o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>Anyone in=
volved
in an accident while on SMS premises must report the accident to an official
before leaving the premises. Failure to do so will result in denial of
insurance coverage, as well as possible suspension from the SMS premises. A=
ny
person who is injured and unable to report the injury should have a crew
member, family member, or friend report the incident to the proper official=
. SMS
is not liable for any claim that is in excess of the track&#8217;s insurance
coverage. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'><o:p>&nbs=
p;</o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>Anyone dr=
iving on
the racetrack under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be suspended for=
 one
(1) calendar year. Anyone injured while under the influence of alcohol or d=
rugs
will forfeit all claims to any insurance benefits. SMS officials have the
option to request drug and/or alcohol testing for any driver involved in an
accident. If drug and/or alcohol tests are positive, insurance benefits cou=
ld
be withheld and legal action could result. Refusal to submit to alcohol and=
/or
drug testing shall be considered a positive test result and will result in
driver suspension for one year and negate all insurance and legal
considerations.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'><o:p>&nbs=
p;</o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>Fighting =
will not
be tolerated on any of the SMS premises at any time for any reason, includi=
ng
the pit area, the spectator area, or the parking lot. The SMS security offi=
cers
are law enforcement officers. They may issue a citation to everyone involve=
d in
any form of fighting. The participating individuals will be required to app=
ear before
an appropriate judge. The security officers have sole discretion in enforci=
ng
the laws of the parish as well as the state. The Track Manager and/or SMS
officials cannot overturn the enforcement of their lawful duties. SMS has t=
he
right to eject, suspend, and/or ban anyone from the complex and/or premises=
 for
fighting. The driver will be responsible for the conduct of his mechanics, =
pit
crew, family members and anyone associated with his particular car or in th=
at
particular pit space as the driver is designated as the responsible party. =
SMS will
fine the driver $100.00 for fighting.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'><o:p>&nbs=
p;</o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>Touching =
an
official with force or with the intent to harm will cause the individual(s)=
 to
be suspended from the SMS premises for a minimum of four completed regular
weekly race events. If excessive abusive language has been or is being used,
all track officials have the option to eject the individual(s) from the pit=
 or
spectator area. If a driver is ejected he or she will lose all points
accumulated for that series/event(s). The track manager&#8217;s decision wi=
ll
be final.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'><o:p>&nbs=
p;</o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>SMS reser=
ves the
right to change the race program and/or race procedures at any time for the
improvement of the racing event. No rules have ever been written that cover=
 every
possible situation. In those particular events, the track manager will make=
 the
decision to cover the situation. In those particular events, the rack manag=
er
will make the decision to cover the situation. SMS reserves the right to am=
end
any rule at any time in the interest of safety or to rewrite the rule for
clarification.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'><o:p>&nbs=
p;</o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><b style=3D'mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'><u><span
style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>SAFETY:</span></u></b><span
style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'><o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>*NO SPEED=
ING IN
THE PIT AREA!! If any official observes speeding and/or reckless driving in=
 the
pit area, you will be disqualified and loose all points and money won for t=
hat
racing series/event(s). There are a number of children in the pit area. The=
se
may be your children. Injuring anyone, especially children, due to lack of
control of the driver&#8217;s temperament will not be tolerate. This rule w=
ill
be strictly enforced.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>*All driv=
ers and
pit crew need to maintain constant control of the children in their pit are=
a. A
discussion of safety needs to be held in each racecar pit area with the
children, and those who act or behave like children.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>*PERSONAL
VEHICLES ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE PITS, EXCEPT EMPLOYEES!!! Personal vehicles=
 are
not covered by track insurance &amp; take up parking for drivers.<o:p></o:p=
></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>*Anyone g=
oing to
the flag stand or race control center with a complaint may be disqualified =
for
that event and will forfeit all money won and points for that series/event(=
s).
If you have any comments about your race see the Track Manager.<o:p></o:p><=
/span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>*Diesel f=
uel is
not allowed on racecars. Mud off or baby oil is allowed.<o:p></o:p></span><=
/p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>*Antifree=
ze is
not allowed in any race vehicle. Any EPA approved coolant/additive with wat=
er
may be used.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>*Wheels w=
eights
are not allowed.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>*No open-=
ended
tubing allowed. All tubing must be capped or rolled onto the body.<o:p></o:=
p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>*All driv=
ers must
wear approved driving suits (top, bottoms, gloves, shoes and neck brace or =
head
and neck restraint) made of rife resistant materials that cover the
driver&#8217;s body, multi-layer recommended. Full-face helmets required, S=
nell
SA2000 or newer with Snell Identification clearly visible inside the helmet=
.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>*ALL cars=
 must
have working fire extinguisher within driver&#8217;s reach!!<o:p></o:p></sp=
an></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>*All pit =
crews
must have operable fire extinguishers in their pit area capable of
extinguishing fuel, oil and electrical fires.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>*All main=
 roll
cage materials must be minimum 1 &frac12;&#8221; O.D. x 0.095&#8221; wall
thickness round tubing. Exceptions: Center bar halo, window wing bars that
attach to the A-pillar and door bar and any windshield bars. All cars must =
have
complete welds. Tack welding only is not acceptable. All cars must have roll
cages inspected and approved by race officials before they are eligible to
compete.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>*Safety
Inspection identification tags will be required on all cars before they are
allowed on the track for practice or racing. The safety inspection tags wil=
l be
valid until December 31, 2010. They will be available at Playday, as well as
throughout the season. Items inspected will be: helmet height versus roll c=
age
height, seat belt attachment, seat belt date, seat attachment, roll cage
placement/attachment and padding, driver safety apparel, plastic or sharp i=
tems
in the driver&#8217;s cockpit, steering wheel quick release, window net
installation as required, drive shaft loop, wrecker pick up points, sharp b=
ody
parts/nerf bars, drier exits: left &amp; right, routing of fuel line,
attachment of fuel cell, fuel cell protection bar, attachment of ballast, a=
nd
chassis welding. If any safety items are not approved, you will be given one
(1) week to have it fixed.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>*All cars=
 must
have an approved 3&#8221; five-point safety belt. All seat belts must be
securely attached to the frame or roll cage with minimum &frac12;&#8221; bo=
lts.
Seat belts must be no older than two (2) years.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>*All cars=
 must
have full window nets.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

On the initial start, all cars must stay in a tight double file (this means
nose to tail) until the Flagman displays the green flag. Start will origina=

in turn four (4) and is started by the Flagman, not the pole sitter. Racing
and/or passing may begin immediately upon display of the green flag. Do not
pass or move out of line behind the car being followed before the green fla=
g is
displayed. Any car not in position at the start (green flag displayed) of t=
he
race will be penalized. Restarts will originate at the back straight-away. =
All
cars will line up single-file behind the leader in the order of the last
completed green lap until racetrack is cleared. Once all racecars are in the
proper lineup, they must stay in line (this means nose to tail) and not move
out of line until the Flagman motions them on. Green flag restart will be in
turn four. Jumping the start will result in a two (2) position penalty. The
penalty will be imposed on the next yellow or red flag. If there is no yell=
ow
flag after the penalty is assessed, then the penalty will be enforced at the
end of the race. The track manager reserves the right to change the restart

han
fifty percent (50%) of the feature races are completed, no pit passes from =

scheduled event will begin one hour earlier than normal. Everyone will pay =

enter the pit area. All features that were rained out in prior week will run

not returning for the conclusion of the rained out race will be awarded poi=

minimum. Zero tolerance is allowed on the minimum side of the specification.
Your tolerance is on the greater than side of minimum. If you take the risk=

pad for inspection. Other finishing positions may be added at the discretio=

penalized any money or points awarded for that event (see below). SMS reser=
ves
the right to inspect any car at any time for rule violations to ensure equal

BE TECHNICALLY ILLEGAL WILL BE DISQUALIFIED AND WIL NOT RECEIVE ANY MONEY OR
POINTS FOR THAT EVENT (NIGHT). A SECOND OFFENSE WILL RESULT IN THE LOSS OF
MONEY FOR THAT EVENT AND POINTS ACCUMULATED FOR THE YEAR. A THIRD OFFENSE W=
ILL
RESULT IN THE DRIVER&#8217;S SUSPENSION FOR SIX (6) COMPLETED WEEKLY RACING
SERIES/EVENT(S).<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>**Cars ap=
pointed
to stop at the tech area are to report directly there after the race is
complete. Returning to your pit area will result in automatic disqualificat=
ion.
Only drivers of the appointed cars and one (1) crew member are to be in the
tech area. Anyone else (this includes drivers of other cars) should stand
behind the roped area. Failing to do so will result in disqualification. The
driver&#8217;s crew member that they choose may be another driver, but cann=
ot
be a driver in the same class that is being teched.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>**Crew me=
mber
exception: A driver whose car is in tech for class &#8220;A&#8221; and that
driver is running class &#8220;B&#8221;, with it being time to run/line-up
class &#8220;B&#8221;, that driver may have two (2) crew members to make up=
 for
the driver&#8217;s absence. However, a tech official must be notified of th=
is
before racing begins!!<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'><o:p>&nbs=
p;</o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><b style=3D'mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'><u><span
style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>FUEL TESTING:</span></u></b><span
style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'><o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>SMS offic=
ials
reserve the right to check fuel at any time to maintain fair competition. A=
ny
racecar failing to pass the fuel test or failing to submit a sample for test
will be disqualified. Competitors are responsible for providing the method =
and
means for obtaining the fuel sample fro the carburetor and identifying the
brand of fuel. Any fuel sample that fails the first test will be tested for=
 a
second time. The second test will be considered the final and official test.
Fuel rule violations will result in disqualification and will count as a
Technically Illegal Disqualification.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>*Alcohol-
Methanol only. No additives of any kind including water that will prohibit
alcohol checking. 0.796 at 60 degrees specific gravity plus or minus 0.002.
Other methods may be used to determine if oxygen additives are present.<o:p=
></o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>*Gasoline=
- Pump
gasoline or racing gasoline only. No additives may be used. Gasoline will be
tested with approved testing methods and instruments. Any reading not
consistent with the brand of gasoline used will be considered illegal.<o:p>=

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'><o:p>&nbs=
p;</o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><b style=3D'mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'><u><span
style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>PROTESTING:</span></u></b><span
style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'><o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>Only the =
top 5
cars may be protested. You may protest only if you are in the top 5.<o:p></=
o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>*Protests=
 will
only be accepted for performance items such as engine, drive train, tires,
wheels, fuel, and/or suspension.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>*Protest =
must be filed
with the Head Tech Official, and the protesting driver must be registered in
that class and must be competing in that particular feature. The protest fee
must be in cash and be accompanied by a fully completed SMS Protest form. T=
he
completed protest form and the appropriate fee in cash must be in the
possession of the Head Tech Official prior to the start of the A-main and
cannot be withdrawn. The protested car must report immediately after the ra=
ce
to the tech pad. Any car not submitted for tech or protest inspection will =
be
disqualified. This disqualification will bet treated as a Technically Illeg=
al
Disqualification.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>A) Visible
protest: $100.00 per item protested. If the protested car is legal, $75 goe=
s to
the protested car and $25 goes to the driver&#8217;s point fund. If the
protested car is illegal, $75 is returned to the protestor and $25 goes to =
the
driver&#8217;s fund.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>B) Non-Vi=
sible
protest: $200.00 per item protested. If the protested car is found to be le=
gal,
$175 goes to the protested car and $25 goes to the driver&#8217;s points fu=
nd.
If the protested car is found to be illegal, $175 goes to the protestor and=
 $25
goes to the driver&#8217;s fund.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Century Gothic"'>*In eithe=
r case
(A or B) above, if the car is found to be illegal, the driver of the illegal
car will be fined $100.00. This money will be put into the SMS drivers point
fund. If the illegal diver does not pay the fine by the next scheduled event
for that class of car, the driver will be barred from the racing at the SMS
until the fine is paid, plus four (4) weeks of regular weekly series racing=
